Utility poles and lines down on the road are blocking both directions of state Highway 500.
The Washington Department of Transportation issued a traffic alert about the blockage overnight Thursday, and updated the alert shortly before 7 a.m. The update says the highway remains blocked.
The down poles and lines are near Northeast 252nd Avenue at Milepost 14.4 of the highway, according to the transportation department. That stretch of the highway is between Vancouver and Camas.
Traffic officials gave no estimate for when the road would be cleared.
