Tree Hill Learning Center is planning to expand its day care business with a second location set to open in Cimarron.

As the second location for Learning Hill — the first is in Camas — it will serve 100 children from infancy to kindergarten with 16 employees on-site at any given time. Hours of operation will be 6:15 a.m. until 6:15 p.m. Monday through Friday, with peak traffic impact taking place during drop-off times before 9 a.m. and pick-up times after 3:30 p.m.

When completed, the facility will be a one-story wood-frame structure. The project also proposes a fenced area on the east side of the building, including a variety of designated activity areas and play equipment.

The 0.54-acre, mixed-use property is located within the Mountain View Business Center at 16225 N.E. 23rd Ave. The land is valued at $423,400, according to the county assessor, and owned by Douglas Fry of Lake Oswego, Ore.
