Grocery Outlet opens, donates to Woodland Action Center

Woodland — The Woodland Grocery Outlet Bargain Market, 325 Lewis River Road, hosted its grand opening on Aug. 16. The store’s owners, Launa and Brian Howard, presented a check for $2,489.31 to the Woodland Action Center, a food bank. The donation figure was the amount that shoppers saved on their purchases in the store’s first hour of operation. The store created 30 to 40 new jobs in the area.
