A 2-acre plot of land in Cascade Park is the proposed site of a future business traveler hotel named Home2 Suites Vancouver.

Located near the intersection of Southeast Fifth Street and Southeast 120th Avenue, the site is zoned as community commercial and would only allow a hotel through a conditional use permit.

The proposed hotel would be a four-story building with 111 parking stalls. The Home2 Suites wouldn’t include a restaurant, bar or any meeting rooms, according to project application materials submitted to the city of Vancouver.

Home2 Suites is a three-star Hilton chain targeted toward travelers seeking extended stays. The proposed property would be the first Home2 Suites in the Vancouver-Portland metro area.

KFW Engineers and Baywood Hotels are working to build the hotel on the land, owned by Springfield, Ore.-based financial consulting firm Hawes Investments LLC. The county assessor’s office values the lot at $749,200.
