The Clark County manager is looking to fill open positions on the Community Action Advisory Board, a volunteer board that advises the county on local government funding for basic needs, self-sufficiency and housing programs.

According to a county news release, the positions are based on county council districts and have open seats for elected officials the 2nd and 3rd districts. There is also an open seat for a low-income representative from the county’s 3rd District.

The news release states that Clark County is looking to diversify the 12-member board and encourages people with diverse backgrounds, experiences and perspectives to apply, especially those from historically underserved communities.

Term periods are three years, ending on a staggered basis. Incumbents have the opportunity for reappointment to two additional three-year terms. Board members of agencies receiving money administered by the advisory board are not eligible to apply.

Those interested must submit an application and resume to Rebecca Royce, Clark County Community Services, P.O. Box 5000, Vancouver, WA 98666 or rebecca.royce@clark.wa.gov.
