The Clark County manager is looking to fill open positions on the Community Action Advisory Board, a volunteer board that advises the county on local government funding for basic needs, self-sufficiency and housing programs.
According to a county news release, the positions are based on county council districts and have open seats for elected officials the 2nd and 3rd districts. There is also an open seat for a low-income representative from the county’s 3rd District.
The news release states that Clark County is looking to diversify the 12-member board and encourages people with diverse backgrounds, experiences and perspectives to apply, especially those from historically underserved communities.
Term periods are three years, ending on a staggered basis. Incumbents have the opportunity for reappointment to two additional three-year terms. Board members of agencies receiving money administered by the advisory board are not eligible to apply.
