The Inc. 5000, an annual list of the country’s fastest-growing private companies, featured seven from the Vancouver area in its 2018 ranking.

Sales and marketing company DiscoverOrg was named to the list for the eighth consecutive year, coming in at No. 2,362 with its revenue up by 184 percent. Inc. 5000, published annually by Inc. magazine, reports that only 2 percent of honorees make the list eight years in a row, a distinction enjoyed by a company that’s seen long-term, sustainable growth.

Apex Air, a residential and commercial heating and air conditioning provider, topped the list of Vancouver companies at No. 89 with a growth rate of 3,482 percent last year.

Riverside Payments, which provides credit card processing and merchant services, also made the list, boasting a growth rate of 1,438 percent. It came in at No. 346.

Netrush, a marketing and management service that helps brands sell their products on Amazon, ranked No. 1,706 with 268 percent growth.

Another Vancouver business to make the list was Pacific Energy Concepts, which since 2009 has offered commercial and industrial spaces energy-efficient lighting. With a growth rate of 182 percent, it ranked No. 2,381 on the Inc. 5000.

Northwest Healthcare — a senior care provider with a growth rate of 175 percent — and SermonView, a Christian graphics company that grew by 144 percent — round out Vancouver’s presence on the list at No. 2,472 and No. 2,864, respectively.
