The college football season began for a handful of teams last weekend. Among them were some players from Clark County.
For two Camas High grads, Saturday marked their debuts on the college gridiron.
Isaiah Abdul made his debut for College of Idaho in a 24-21 loss to Eastern Oregon. The true freshman defensive back had four tackles, including three solo, and returned a blocked punt 37 yards for a touchdown.
Also making his collegiate debut was Hawaii’s Michael Boyle. The redshirt freshman handled kickoff duties in the Rainbow Warriors’ 43-34 win over Colorado State, averaging 63 yards a kick. Three of his nine went for touchbacks.
