The city of Vancouver and other organizations are seeking volunteers to help count local trail users Sept. 11 to 16 as part the National Bicycle and Pedestrian Documentation Project.

The count will run from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sept. 11, 12 and 13 and again from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Sept. 15 and 16.

Many two-hour shifts are available at several locations.

Information gathered from the counts will be used to track how trails are used, determine future infrastructure improvements and gauge outreach and education effectiveness about trails.

Additional trail count information is available at: https://www.cityofvancouver.us/community/page/national-trail-counts-2018.

Volunteers must attend one of two training sessions on Aug. 28 or Aug. 30.

Visit http://bit.ly/1zcDzX8 to sign up for a training session and reserve one of the counting locations, dates and times.
