Units in a luxury apartment building at The Waterfront Vancouver are officially available for pre-leasing, though tenants won’t be able to move in until autumn.
The Rediviva, a complex that includes 63 units — a mix of studios, one-bedrooms and two-bedrooms — opened up its apartments to renters last week. Since then, 10 percent have been pre-leased, said Nicole Rideout of R/West, the marketing firm handling media relations for the waterfront development.
“They’re expecting the rest to go pretty quickly. People are pretty excited about the views and price point,” Rideout said.
The apartments range from 579 square feet to 1,141 square feet, and rent costs anywhere from $1,826 to $3,283 per month, according to the development’s website. The units feature large windows with sweeping views of the Columbia River, a vista that’s turned The Waterfront Vancouver development into some of the most coveted property around for builders and restaurateurs.
The Rediviva complex is located on the west end of Block 6, next to the Murdock office building. Tenants will have access to 63 parking spaces in an underground garage.
Complexwide amenities include a 24-hour fitness center, rooftop deck, and monitored building access. Individual apartments feature a walk-in closet, washer and dryer and private balcony.
The apartments are named after the renowned “Columbia Rediviva” ship that in 1790 circumnavigated the globe and explored the Pacific Northwest.
Though the apartments are the first rental properties to go on the market at The Waterfront Vancouver, they’re not the first living option. Potential homebuyers have already started eyeing property in nearby luxury condominiums adjacent to Hotel Indigo.
“There has been one other residential offering prior to this, and that’s the condos at Kirkland Tower,” Rideout said.
Rental units will be move-in ready by fall, though Rideout said the developer can’t yet narrow down the month.
The Rediviva is operated by Greystar Property Management, a company that oversees more than 1,600 complexes worldwide. Greystar also manages eight existing Vancouver properties, including The Uptown, the $45 million, 167-apartment building that opened to tenants in January.
