Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer Connections provides opportunities through the Human Services Council. For information on the following, call 360-735-3690.

Clark County Connects, a one-day service event, seeks volunteers for its seventh annual event, 8 a.m. to noon Sept. 8. Families, groups and individuals are encouraged to register for the event where hundreds of volunteers accomplish a variety of projects around the county. Get information about projects and sign up at clarkcountyconnects.org

Clark County Veterans Assistance Center seeks volunteers, 18 and older, for its annual Stand Down on Sept. 15. Help set up on Sept. 14, or with various tasks at the event. Volunteers must pass a criminal background check.

Volunteer Connections seeks help at its Senior Expo, Sept. 15 at ilani. Set up, greet patrons, conduct surveys, or host a raffle table. Shifts are between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. To help at this event, contact Kitty Hibbs, 360-735-3690 or kittyh@hsc-wa.org

Clark County Public Works — Parks Division is looking for people to conduct annual trail counts, 5 to 7 p.m. Sept. 11 to 13, and 9 to 11 a.m. Sept. 15 and 16, at 18 locations. Volunteers work at one location and count pedestrians and bicyclists during a two-hour shift. Training is provided. Register and learn more at www.clark.wa.gov/public-works/annual-trail-user-counts
