PORTLAND — In-N-Out Burger plans to open a restaurant in the Salem area, moving the California-based burger chain one step closer to the Portland area, a representative told the Keizer City Council Monday.
The announcement comes six months after an In-N-Out sign appeared on plywood outside a downtown Salem building. At the time, an In-N-Out executive said the sign was fake but acknowledged they were looking in the area.
When it opens, the Keizer location will be In-N-Out’s closest location to the state’s largest metro area, leapfrogging locations in Grants Pass and Medford.
