A motorcyclist was injured Friday evening on Northeast 117th Avenue in what State Patrol troopers say was a road rage incident. The other driver was arrested.

The incident was reported at 6:37 p.m. near the intersection of 117th and Northeast 119th Street. A 19-year-old motorcyclist, Brendan D. Marsh, was driving northbound behind a gray Volkswagen Passat when its driver became angry.

The allegedly angry driver, identified as Duane A. Leichtamer, 55, of Vancouver, stopped suddenly on purpose, troopers said, causing the motorcycle to hit the rear of his sedan.

Marsh was taken to a local hospital for evaluation and treatment of injuries.

Leichtamer was arrested on suspicion of vehicular assault and reckless driving.
