Camas police said Friday they are trying to establish the identity of a man suspected in a jewelry theft Thursday evening.

Police were called to Runyan’s Jewelers in downtown Camas at about 5:30 p.m. after a man took two engagement rings and left the store without paying, according to a news release. The rings are valued at more than $5,000.

Two photographs of the suspect were released showing him wearing a blue shirt and sunglasses.
