Grant will help Free Clinic treat patients with diabetes

Bagley Downs — The Free Clinic of Southwest Washington received a $4,000 grant from the ESCO Foundation to care for uninsured patients living with diabetes. The grant will help the clinic purchase insulin. Under the Free Clinic’s program, volunteers and community partners offer education, stabilization and comprehensive care to people with diabetes. “This grant will provide supplies for people living with diabetes, many of whom simply can’t afford the insulin they need to survive,” Barbe West, executive director, said in a news release.
