Landon Krausse had a two-run single in the third inning, then sealed the victory with a one-two-three seventh inning as KWRL Centerfield Roosters beat Concord, N.H., 2-1 in the quarterfinals of the Babe Ruth World Series for 13-15 year olds in Longview on Tuesday.

The victory, the third consecutive for KWRL after starting the tournament 0-2, advanced the Roosters to a semifinal matchup against Mifflin County, Pa., at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at David Story Field in Longview.

After Concord took a 1-0 lead in the first inning, Alex Wood led off the bottom of the third inning with a walk. Wood stole second and advanced to third on a wild pitch before a hit batter put runners on the corners.

Krausse singled to center, scoring both runners for a 2-1 lead.

Starting pitcher Michael Goode made that stand up, allowing just the one unearned run on five hits over six innings of work. He struck out three.

Krausse pitched the seventh for the save.

Irving Alvarez went 2 for 3 with a double for KWRL. Wood, Ethan Hefflin and Aidan Hundt added singles.
