COUGAR —Drivers of state Highway 503 and the 503 Spur through Cougar should expect delays for the entire month of August due to ongoing roadwork.

The most recent construction work is planned to begin at 6:30 a.m. Aug. 15, through 7 a.m. Aug. 18. It affects travelers on both directions of Highway 503/Highway 503 Spur, between Northeast Rock Creek Road and Williams Road.

At that time, a Washington State Department of Transportation contractor will resume preservation work on damaged portions of the highway.

Flaggers will alternate single lanes of traffic in either direction, drivers will follow a pilot car. Travelers should expect delays of up to 20 minutes and reduced speed limits.

There will be no lane closures on Aug. 18 through Amboy between Northeast 394 Street and Northeast 221 Avenue for the Vancouver Bicycle Club’s Ride Around Clark County.

Single-lane closures will continue through August.
