A new branch of Columbia Credit Union is slated to open Monday in Battle Ground, the company announced this week.

The new building, the Scotton Landing branch, is the credit union’s 14th in Southwest Washington and Oregon, and its second in Battle Ground.

“Battle Ground is growing and so is Columbia Credit Union,” said President and CEO Steve Kenny in a media release Wednesday. “We are excited to open our 14th branch and are committed to providing our members with outstanding service — whether they visit us in person or make use of our online and mobile banking.”

Scotton Landing will be managed by Gayle Smith, current vice president branch manager at the credit union’s existing Battle Ground location in Fred Meyer.

“I’m sure our members will appreciate the convenience of being served by an additional branch in another key shopping and dining hub of the Battle Ground community,” Smith said.

To celebrate the opening, the business will hold a $25,000 giveaway featuring five local nonprofits: Battle Ground Education Foundation, Battle Ground Health Care, Clark County Children’s Center, Clark-Skamania Flyfishers or Re-TURN. Each vote is worth $10, with a maximum of $5,000 per nonprofit. Votes will be collected until Sept. 15.

The new branch is located at 1013 Southwest Scotton Way. Its open hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Saturdays. An ATM and night deposit box will be operational 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
