Vancouver, Washougal – Two Clark County police departments will have additional officers on the roads this weekend to catch intoxicated drivers.
The Vancouver and Washougal police departments are taking part in the enhanced DUI enforcement.
While many similar initiatives happen around holiday weekends, this effort is simply a push to keep drugged and drunk drivers off the road.
The enforcement is possible due to a grant from the Washington Traffic Safety Commission, which covers overtime costs for officers.
