Washougal – The Washougal School District hired Michelle Massar as the new assistant superintendent for Jemtegaard Middle School. She was most recently the district-level positive behavioral interventions and support coach for the Salem-Keizer Public School District in Salem, Ore.
Massar has a Ph.D. in special education and previously worked as a teacher and an instructional coach. She also has experience with multi-tiered systems of support, leadership and implementation science, with a specific focus on coaching to improve outcomes for staff and students.
