WSU travels to farmers markets to dish out healthy lifestyle tips

Battle Ground — Washington State University Extension worked with local farmers markets to bring Summertime Yum! around Clark County this summer. The program offers a sampling of kid-friendly recipes, allows visitors to test their skills with the Wheel-O-Knowledge and shows a variety of fun physical activities. When participants use their Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits on Summertime Yum! days, they get a free bag of produce to make the featured recipe. When participants spend $5 in EBT/Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits at farmers markets they receive $5 in free tokens to buy fresh fruits and vegetables
