Newcomers club donates money to health care nonprofit

Shumway — The Clark County Newcomers Club spent the last year raising money for Battle Ground Healthcare. The club presented the nonprofit with a check for $5,398.17 at the club’s recent monthly coffee meet up. Battle Ground Healthcare is a nonprofit faith-based organization that aims to improve the medical and dental health of the community and reduce the costs of emergency room visits by managing patients with chronic care needs. The newcomers is a club that looks to provide a network for friendship and community service to both those new to the area and those who have lived here a while.
