Nominees for Week 5 spring sports prep athlete of the week

Voting, sponsored by Athletes Corner, continues through Thursday

Here are the nominees for The Columbian spring sports prep athlete of the week, sponsored by Athletes Corner, for the week ending April 28.

Voting will continue until 8 p.m. Thursday, with results announced in Friday’s edition of The Columbian.

To avoid vote manipulation, voting is restricted by IP address, one vote per IP address. That means people voting while connected to a public WIFI access may be unable vote. We suggest voting be done by private internet access or through your cellular provider.

KAILY CHRISTENSEN, WOODLAND SOFTBALL: The freshman went 7 for 10 with three runs, two doubles and five RBI in three league wins.

EMMA COX, CAMAS GIRLS GOLF: Cox shot a 76 to place third in the Pasco Invitational, leading the Papermakers to a team victory.

CARTER MONDA, EVERGREEN BASEBALL: Monda went 8 for 12 with six runs, a home run, double and seven RBI in three league wins.

KYLE RADOSEVICH, RIDGEFIELD BOYS TRACK AND FIELD: Radosevich won the 3,200 meters (9:33.63) and placed fourth in the mile (4:33.32) at the Shelton Invitational.

GIOVANNA RHOADS, COLUMBIA RIVER GIRLS TRACK AND FIELD: Rhoads won the long jump (16-0) and triple jump (34-0) and took third in the high jump (4-8) at the Elden Kellar Invitational.
