Vancouver’s Jordan Chiles was part of the United States women’s gymnastics team that won the gold medal at the Pacific Rim Championships on Saturday and Sunday at Medellin, Colombia.

The Prairie High School junior and Naydenov gymnast led the U.S. on the vault with a top overall score of 14.700. She landed a double-twisting Yurchenko.

Chiles also scored 12.950 on the balance beam, which was second among the U.S. gymnasts, and scored 13.250 on the floor for third among the Americans.

The U.S. finished with a team total of 218.850 to place first, followed by Canada (203.400) and Australia (197.550).

On Sunday, Chiles won gold on vault (14.188) and floor (13.650) and placed third on beam (12.175) during event finals. Due to a finger injury suffered at practice earlier in the week, she did not compete on the uneven bars and was ineligible for the all-around.

Next up for Chiles and the U.S. gymnasts will be the U.S. Classic on July 27-28 in Columbus, Ohio, followed by the U.S. Championships on August 16-19 at Boston.
