May 12: Kids ages 5 to 14 are eligible to fish for trout (stocked from an on-site hatchery) with a trained Columbia Springs mentor at the Kids Fishing Festival from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Columbia Springs, 12208 S.E. Evergreen Highway, Vancouver; $7. Every kid can take home any fish they catch as well as a free fishing pole and tackle. The festival includes lunch, a scavenger hunt and crafts.
