A 47-year-old Vancouver man was arrested in Hazlet, N.J., on Wednesday for allegedly sex trafficking a child.
Law enforcement located and arrested James Keenan in the East Coast township about a week after a federal grand jury in Portland handed up an indictment for charges of sex trafficking of a child, attempted sex trafficking of a child and attempted enticement.
His arrest resulted from a monthlong investigation carried out by detectives with the Beaverton, Ore., Police Department and the FBI Child Exploitation Task Force, according to a police department press release.
“This is an ongoing investigation,” the release says.
Authorities are helping the underage victim to recover, police said.
