Nominees for the Week 3 spring sports prep athlete of the week

Voting, sponsored by Athlete’s Corner, continues through Thursday

Here are the nominees for The Columbian spring sports prep athlete of the week, sponsored by Athletes Corner, for the week ending March 31.

Voting will continue until 8 p.m. Thursday, with results announced in Friday’s edition of The Columbian.

To avoid vote manipulation, voting is restricted by IP address, one vote per IP address. That means people voting while connected to a public WIFI access may be unable vote. We suggest voting be done by private internet access or through your cellular provider.

EMMA JENKINS, CAMAS GIRLS TRACK AND FIELD: Jenkins ran the area’s top times of the season in the 800 (2:23.03) and 3,200 (11:02.33) in a meet against Skyview.

SARAH JENKINS, RIDGEFIELD SOFTBALL: Jenkins struck out 14 batters in a 6-1 win over Union, and went 4 for 6 from the plate in two games.

SAM LAUDERDALE, KING’S WAY CHRISTIAN BASEBALL: Lauderdale pitched four no-hit innings and went 4 for 4 with a double, triple and two RBI in a 12-0 win over Castle Rock.

DELAINEY PATTERSON, PRAIRIE GIRLS GOLF: Patterson shot rounds of 38, 40 and 40 in three wins for the Falcons.

JACK THOMAS, SKYVIEW BOYS TRACK AND FIELD: Thomas ran the area’s top times of the season in the 200 (22.77) and 400 (50.93) in a meet against Camas.
