ESD 112 offers session on alternative path to teaching certificate

Educational Service District 112 will host an information session about a new teaching certificate program, ESD-University.

ESD-U is a residency-based program offering teaching certifications to those who have bachelor’s degrees. The program costs about $8,000.

The information session is free and open to the public. It begins at 4 p.m., April 18 at the ESD 112 Conference Center at 2500 N.E. 65th Ave., Vancouver.

The first cohort for ESD-U will start this summer. Applications are due May 1. Endorsements currently available are reading, English Language Learners and Special Education.
