A 25-year-old man appeared in Clark County Superior Court on Friday, potentially facing assault charges after he allegedly pointing a bow and arrow at a family member and Clark County Sheriff’s deputies.

Jeremy Prevost appeared on suspicion of three counts of second-degree assault, one of which is related to domestic violence.

He asked for and was appointed a defense attorney at public expense.

Clark County sheriff’s deputies were dispatched at about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday to 7312 N.E. 128th Ave., near Heritage High School in the Sifton neighborhood.

Prevost’s adult sister told deputies her brother pointed a bow and arrow at her. The woman and her mother left the house fearing they would be harmed, deputies said.

Prevost was unresponsive, then appeared in the opening of a sliding glass door and pointed the bow and arrow at the officers, according to the sheriff’s office.

Senior Deputy Prosecutor Luka Vitasovic asked the court on Friday to set bail at $250,000. He said that Prevost crossed the line by “taking action against law enforcement.” Defense attorney Shon Bogar said Prevost had a limited criminal history, and he argued that he has seen much lower bail amounts set in similar cases involving firearms. He asked for $25,000 bail.

Judge Scott Collier set bail at $100,000. Prevost will be arraigned April 20.
