Brush Prairie — Clark County Sheriff’s Deputy Jason Granneman presented Hockinson High School senior Alyssa Chapin with a kindness citation. Chapin is the first student at Hockinson to earn a kindness citation. The sheriff’s office started awarding them in November as a way to recognize people helping others in the community, and the citations are part of Life Vest Inside’s nationwide Inspiring Kindness Initiative. Chapin works as a peer tutor in the school’s developmental resource room, and wants to become a nurse practitioner or physician assistant after finishing school.
