Evergreen foundation names educator of the year

Camas — The Evergreen School District Foundation named Union High School’s Don Rasmussen as Educator of the Year, bringing him a check during his fourth-period Advanced Placement psychology class. Rasmussen has taught in Evergreen Public Schools for 36 years, and currently teaches psychology and United States history. He was nominated for the award by a student in his fourth-period psychology class. “Ras is my favorite teacher because he just makes class fun,” junior Shane Bafus said in a release from the foundation. “He is really good at balancing the random question time and on-topic work time.”
