Orchards — Platinum Pets helped people and animals displaced in the Columbia River Gorge due to the Eagle Creek Fire by sending pet supplies. The store sent bowls, harnesses and leashes to the VCA Pet Hospital in Vancouver, which provided free accommodations to domestic animals who were out of their homes during the fire. “This terrible situation has forced so many residents to scramble to find places to keep their pets safe,” Kate Jones, president of Platinum Pets, said in a release from the store. “We wanted to do our part to help ease the anxiety for both pet owners and their furry family members.”
