Vancouver — Connect Evergreen, a community coalition working to prevent youth substance abuse, received a $625,000 grant from the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy, the organization announced Monday.
The local organization is among 719 organizations to receive the Drug-Free Communities Support Program grant.
The five-year, renewable grant will support efforts to curb prescription drug, marijuana, tobacco and alcohol use and abuse among young people in the Evergreen Public Schools district boundaries.
