Quarterback Teryn Berry completed 15 of 20 passes for 221 yards and four touchdowns to lead Redmond to its first victory of the season with a 38-20 win over Heritage on Friday night at McKenzie Stadium.
The Mustangs, a Class 3A program, rushed out to a 24-0 lead after Berry’s third touchdown pass of the game to Bradley Cagle to open the third-quarter scoring. Cagle finished with five catches for 116 yards and three touchdown catches of 35, 26 and 25 yards.
The Timberwolves (2-2 overall) were led by Michael Taras’ 205 yards passing and three touchdowns. Two of his touchdowns went to Robbie Meadors (14 and 9 yards), who finishes with nine catches for 128 yards and Kahai Umiamaka, whose 10-yard touchdown reception to open the fourth quarter scoring made it a 38-14 game with 11 minutes, 48 seconds to play.
