In recognition of National Suicide Prevention Month, the National Alliance on Mental Illness Southwest Washington, otherwise known as NAMI, is holding a “listen and share” event.

Mary Jadwisiak, the executive director of the Battle Ground-based organization Holding the Hope, will speak and others will share their personal stories. There will also be dance performances and music.

It all happens 6 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, located at 1309 Franklin St. A similar event was held Tuesday in Longview.
