Nominees for Week 3 prep football player of the week

Voting, sponsored by Athletes Corner, continues through Tuesday

Here are the nominees for The Columbian prep football player of the week, sponsored by Athletes Corner, for the week ending Sept. 16.

Voting will continue until 8 p.m. Tuesday, with results announced in Friday’s edition of The Columbian.

To avoid vote manipulation, voting is restricted by IP address. That means people voting while connected to a public WIFI access may be unable vote. We suggest voting be done by private internet access or through your cellular provider.

PEYTON BRAMMER, HOCKINSON: Brammer caught nine passes for 129 yards and two touchdowns in a win over Woodland.

JAYSON MADDUX, PRAIRIE: Maddux passed for 396 yards and two touchdowns as he almost rallied the Falcons against Black Hills.

JACK MERTENS, MOUNTAIN VIEW: Mertens caught 5 passes for 75 yards and a TD and rushed for 58 yards in a win over Battle Ground.

TAJ MUHAMMAD, SETON CATHOLIC: Muhammed rushed for 208 yards and a touchdown and had a TD reception against Nestucca.

RYAN STEVENS, WASHOUGAL: Stevens passed for 122 yards and two touchdowns and kicked a field goal in a win over River.
