The Wildcats (1-2) used a potent ground attack, rushing for 279 yards. Juniors Wyatt Dodson and Colin Namanny led the way with 100 and 96 yards respectively. Williamson racked up 158 of his 186 yards passing in the second half, throwing touchdown passes to fellow seniors Evan Honore and Clint Smith.
The Wildcat defense also came up big, holding the Spudders scoreless for most of the game after allowing 77 points in their first two games.
Ridgefield junior quarterback Dawson Lieurance, who missed last week’s game because of injury, passed for 196 yards in the loss. Lieurance’s 26 yard pass to Tucker Roberts accounted for the Spudders’ lone touchdown.
