The Clark College volleyball team opened NWAC South region play right where it left off non-league action — with a victory.
Clark defeated Umpqua 25-20, 25-21, 25-13 at Roseburg, Ore., on Friday. The Penguins improved to 16-1 overall and has won nine consecutive matches.

Clark is at Coos Bay, Ore., on Saturday to take on Southwestern Oregon.
