Nominees for Week 2 prep football player of the week

Voting, sponsored by Athletes Corner, will continue through Tuesday

Nominees for high school football player of the week, sponsored by Athletes Corner, for the week ending Sept. 9. Voting will conclude at 8 p.m. Tuesday with results published in Wednesday’s Columbian.

WYATT HARSH, WOODLAND: The quarterback passed for 267 yards and two touchdowns in a win over La Center.

ROBERT MEADORS, HERITAGE: The senior caught six passes for 132 yards and 2 TDs, and had an interception and 10 tackles on defense.

GLEN PERRY JR., MOUNTAIN VIEW: The quarterback rushed for 176 yards and three TDs in the Thunder’s loss to Union.

CANON RACANELLI, HOCKINSON: The quarterback passed for 293 yards and two TDs and rushed for 50 yards and two TDs in a win over Prairie.

JA’MICHAEL SHELTON, CAMAS: The starting defensive end stepped up on offense with six catches for 137 yards and a TD in a win over Sherwood.
