VANCOUVER — Workforce Southwest Washington is looking to honor businesses who have shown innovation or strong community-building skills to create jobs in Clark, Cowlitz and Wahkiakum counties.

Both awards seek to honor businesses that have created jobs for adults, youths or any group of people facing barriers to employment.

One award, Innovation in Workforce Development, honors a business that has shown creativity in making well-paying jobs with career tracks. The second, Excellence in Building Workforce Partnerships, honors those who have leveraged ties with nonprofits, colleges, other businesses and more in creating similar jobs.

Nominations for these awards are due by Oct. 6. Awards will be presented in December.

More information on the awards can be found at workforcesw.org.
