Camas — A Clark College nursing program graduate, Christina Adams, was recognized by the American Heart Association for assisting in saving a Vancouver man’s life last year. Adams was on the Lacamas Heritage Trail when she came across a person who was receiving CPR from his friend. The man, Tom Devlin, was in cardiac arrest. She offered to assist and, using her training from Clark and the American Heart Association’s Resuscitation Quality Improvement machine, she revived Devlin. The American Heart Association recognized Adams at its national sales meeting in Dallas, Texas, on Aug. 8.
