An early-morning fire Tuesday at Dreamline Cabinets did extensive damage to the building and the materials inside. No injuries were reported.

Vancouver Fire Department Capt. Ray Egan said a fire engine that responded to a fire alarm call at the business at 2700 N.E. Andresen Rd., about 1:30 a.m. found a structural fire. Five engines, two trucks and additional personnel responded.
Fortunately, the sprinkler system did its job, Egan said.

“It kept the fire in check, but the sprinkler system could not hit the seed of the fire, so it was just keeping it from getting bigger,” Egan said.
The fire was under control in about 20 minutes, he said.

In addition to the fire damage, water and smoke damage was also extensive, Egan said.
