Voting, sponsored by Athletes Corner, continues through Tuesday

Here are the nominees for The Columbian prep football player of the week, sponsored by Athletes Corner, for the week ending Oct. 28.

Voting will continue until 8 p.m. Tuesday, with results announced in Thursday’s edition of The Columbian.

To avoid vote manipulation, voting is restricted by IP address, one vote per IP address. That means people voting while connected to a public WIFI access may be unable vote. We suggest voting be done by private internet access or through your cellular provider.

MATTHEW ASPLUND, COLUMBIA RIVER: Asplund passed 260 yards on 11 of 15 completions and threw four TDs in a 52-21 win over Ridgefield.

PHILIP EARNHARDT, MOUNTAIN VIEW: Returned two interceptions for TDs of 55 and 29 yards as part of the Thunder’s four INTs in a 55-3 win over Evergreen.

BROCK ROBINSON, BATTLE GROUND: Robinson rushed for 201 yards on 37 carries and scored three TDs to give Tigers their first victory, a 28-20 win over AC Davis.

JOJO SIOFELE, UNION: Siofele rushed for 101 yards on 25 carries, and scored the go-ahead 5-yard touchdown run in the Titans’ 14-13 come-from-behind win over Camas.

CHRISTIAN YAGER, WOODLAND: Yager tied a school record with four touchdown receptions as part of his 159 yards on five catches in a 51-7 win over Mark Morris.
