Lake Shore Elementary School was placed on a brief lockdown this morning due to a male hanging out around the school and refusing to give his name to school administrators, according to scanner traffic monitored at The Columbian.
Clark County sheriff’s deputies responded about 8:07 a.m. to 9300 N.W. 21st Ave., and contacted the male, who reportedly looked to be a teenager, on the south side of the school. Deputies said he refused to comply at first but then said they would not need further assistance, according to the scanner. He was reportedly in custody.
The lockdown was lifted shortly after.
Medical personnel were also at the school for an unrelated matter. Someone reportedly tripped over a chair, fell and smacked their face, according to the scanner.
