Nominees for Week 7 fall sports prep athlete of the week

Voting, sponsored by Athletes Corner, continues through Thursday

Here are the nominees for The Columbian fall sports prep athlete of the week, sponsored by Athletes Corner, for the week ending Oct. 21.

Voting will continue until 8 p.m. Thursday, with results announced in Friday’s edition of The Columbian.

To avoid vote manipulation, voting is restricted by IP address, one vote per IP address. That means people voting while connected to a public WIFI access may be unable vote. We suggest voting be done by private internet access or through your cellular provider.

CADE BRINGHURST, RIDGEFIELD BOYS GOLF: The freshman shot a 148 for 36 holes to win the 2A district title by six shots.

ANDREW KABACY, SKYVIEW BOYS TENNIS: Kabacy outlasted Gunnar Harlan of Battle Ground 7-6 (6), 6-4 to win the 4A district singles title.

LUKE LUND, PRAIRIE BOYS CROSS COUNTRY: Lund won the 3A district meet in 15:40 for 2.95 miles, helping the Falcons to the team title.

SOPHIA SKIMAS, COLUMBIA RIVER GIRLS SOCCER: Skimas scored four goals in three games, including the lone goal in a pair of 1-0 league wins.

AUBREY STANTON, CAMAS VOLLEYBALL: Stanton had 13 kills, 45 assists, 10 aces, 23 digs in two league wins as Camas clinched a share of the league tite.
