Woodland senior quarterback Wyatt Harsh threw for 304 yards and four touchdown passes and junior Tyler Flanagan caught two touchdown passes and ran for another as the Woodland Beavers clinched a playoff spot with a 40-16 win over host Ridgefield in 2A Greater St. Helens League action Friday night.
Woodland (3-2 in league, 4-4 overall) could be anywhere from the second to the fourth seed out of the 2A GSHL as the Beavers are tied with Columbia River for third place. Woodland’s last regular season game is in Longview against Mark Morris.
The Beavers erupted for 26 points in the second quarter to take a 33-8 lead at half. Harsh threw for three of his four touchdowns in the second quarter, two to Tyler Flanagan and one to Alex Bishop.
Junior running back Hunter Abrams rushed for 92 yards and scored both of Ridgefield’s (0-5, 1-7) touchdowns. Jeremy Martin added 58 yards on the ground for the Spudders, who end their season by playing host to Columbia River.
