Clark Talks: Republicans discuss local, national issues

By Jake Thomas, Columbian political reporter
Published: October 19, 2017, 6:05am

In this week’s Clark Talks, Columbian reporters Katy Sword and Dameon Pesanti talk with Congresswoman Jaime Herrera Beutler, R-Battle Ground, about gun rights, the fate of kids brought to the county illegally by their parents, Oregon’s plans to place tolls on Interstate 5 and Interstate 205, as well as other topics.

Sword and Thomas then chat with David Robert Gellatly, the embattled chair of the Clark County Republican Party.

Gellatly, who survived an attempt to remove him as chair, discussed his recent victory to remove some board members he clashed with, as well the future of the party.

You can find the show on Soundcloud, or subscribe for free downloads on iTunes or Stitcher. Contact Pesanti and Thomas about the podcast at podcast@columbian.com.
