Battle Ground police want help identifying the vehicle involved in a Thursday hit-and-run that left a 14 year-old boy injured.
The boy was struck from behind near the 2100 block of Southeast Eaton Boulevard and suffered a broken left ankle and dislocated left elbow.
Officers were called at about 7:20 a.m. to Southeast Commerce Avenue and Southeast 13th Street. The caller told 911 dispatchers that he had been flagged down by a boy who told him he was hit by a car, according to the Battle Ground Police Department.
Arriving officers spoke with the boy, who was being treated by Clark County Fire District 3 paramedics. He told them he had missed the school bus that picks him up in front of his residence on Northeast 167th Avenue. He said he decided to walk to school, west on Northeast 199th Street — which turns into Eaton Boulevard — on the north side of the road, going the same direction as traffic.
