Columbia Springs seeks volunteers to remove invasive weeds, plant trees and do trail maintenance at Stewardship Saturdays events, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays. Families are welcome, but children must be 7 or older and those under 16 must be with a parent or guardian. Registration is encouraged; groups are limited to 30 participants.

Columbia River Mental Health Services — Great Life Mentoring Program seeks mentors to develop a relationship with a child who needs support, meeting one to three hours weekly for one year. Training and support provided.

Foundation for Vancouver Public Schools — Lunch Buddy Program seeks volunteers 18 and older to have lunch with a student, then stay to play a game, read a book, or talk during lunch break, once a week throughout the school year.

Free Clinic of Southwest Washington is looking for licensed optometrists/ophthalmologists to perform basic eye exams four times annually with the support of technicians.

The Salvation Army Family Services seeks volunteer receptionists to answer phones, enter data, and assist clients needing emergency food boxes, 9 a.m. to noon weekdays, or 1 to 4:30 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays or Thursdays.
