The Clark County council is accepting applications to fill three vacancies on the volunteer planning commission.

The Clark County Planning Commission is a seven-member board that advises the council on land-use, planning, zoning and development in unincorporated areas. The commission is often asked to weigh in on issues related to growth management, roads, public facilities and regulations before the county council has a final say.

Two positions are for seven-year terms; the third position is for a four-year term, according to a county news release. All three terms begin in January.

To apply, submit a letter of interest and résumé to Jennifer Clark, Board of County Councilors, PO Box 5000, Vancouver, WA 98666. Applications also can be emailed to jennifer.clark@clark.wa.gov or faxed to 360-397-6058.
