Volunteer opportunities

American Cancer Society — Road to Recovery program seeks volunteer drivers to transport cancer patients to their cancer treatments. Volunteers must have a valid driver’s license, safe driving record, a reliable vehicle and be in good health. Training is provided, and a background check is required.

Clark County Food Bank hosts S&VEN, an annual event in November, to engage high school students and service veterans in community service. Veterans with a desire to connect with students and share their experiences are encouraged to participate.

Clark County Historical Museum is looking for volunteers with an interest in history to lead haunted walking tours, beginning at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays in October. The tours are over a mile long and last about an hour.

City of Vancouver seeks volunteers to plan and lead two to three trips a month, including weekends, for its senior travel programs. Volunteers, 50 or older and with good health, must attend monthly meetings, be willing to be trained in CPR/First Aid and pass a background check.

KXRW Vancouver 99.9 FM Community Radio is looking for a volunteer coordinator to recruit and train its volunteers.
